This constitution was adopted at the Founding Assembly in Hurdal, Norway, 27 August 1984

The detailed work of EBU is carried out by Commissions whose areas of activity reflect the major interests of EBU and Steering Groups, whose remit is to help EBU to adequately address the needs of specific segments of the visually impaired population (Elderly, Youth, Women, Partially Sighted, Deafblind, Blind or Partially Sighted with Additional Disabilities).

The status, composition, meetings, proceedings, quorum and voting of EBU general assemblies are governed by Article IV of EBU Constitution.
