Saturday, March 3, 2018 Renaissance hotel, Brussels

3 March 2018

The European Disability Forum, in collaboration with the Belgium Disability Forum, organises a conference on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The purpose of the event is to better equip civil society representatives in advocating for disability-inclusive SDGs in Europe and within its Member States.

The objectives of the conference are the following:

  •     To showcase how the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) should serve as a guiding framework for the implementation and the monitoring of the SDGs;
  •     To increase understanding and knowledge about the SDGs, particularly the Voluntary National Reviews processes, using Belgium as an example;
  •     To launch EDF human rights series 2 entitled: “2030 Agenda and SDGs report: A European perspective to respect, protect and fulfil the CRPD”.

The full agenda will be soon available.
