With financial support of the European Commission under the Community Programme for Employment and Social Solidarity (PROGRESS), EBU conducted in 2007 a programme of activity "Non discrimination and equal opportunities for all in employment, social solidarity and active inclusion of persons with a visual impairment in Europe". The programme focuses on four key areas : employment, mobility and access to transport, access to technology, and the UN Convention, with particular emphasis on capacity building.
