Job Description

Lynn is responsible for 75 patients in a hospital in south Baltimore. She studies every case to make sure they eat the right quantity and quality of food. She also calculates the right compositions of the intravenous infusions. She mainly sees patients with heart problems, with diabetics or after surgery.

Getting the job

Lynn studied dietician and acquired some on-field experience during her studies. Her internship was hard as people believed she wouldn’t make it. After that she was hired upon her first interview in a hospital.

Adjustments

Lynn developed many alternative measures to do her job fine but the main problem after the internship was Lynn’s lack of confidence in herself. Therefore, she took a rehabilitation course for adults in a center for the Blind in Louisiana. Thanks to that and to her parents she regained self-esteem.

In the job interview, my boss said “ if you are here, it means that you are capable of doing the job”. It would be awesome if all interviews went that way.
