Job Description
Jonathan is visually impaired and maintains stand-alone and network-based IT
systems. He carries out analysis and in-depth design of management applications.
The job requires development, adaptation and roll out of programmes in
structured programming languages. Jonathan develops and creates prototypes aimed
at facilitating application exploitation.
Getting the job
The job requires higher vocational training to become a Senior Engineer in
Computer software development plus skills in programming languages. Further
training in languages (particularly English for computing terminology) plus
general computer skills may be required.
Adjustments
Jonathan uses a scanner, Optical Character Reader, magnifier, screen reader and
Braille display.
