Job Description

Antoine was an entertainer for 45 years. Although he is retired, he often gets requests from orchestras he used to work with. He played the piano, synthesizer and foot pedal, sometimes as bassist and sometimes soloist. He always worked in his area where he had stable jobs.

Getting the job

He lost sight at 12 and had a standard musical education with piano and organ at the school of the blind in Bordeaux, followed by deeper studies at the Conservatoire.

Adjustments

He has used no adjustments, given that variety music is more a matter of improvisation, and recordings serve as examples.

Quote

You need a solid musical education. Today, it is not enough to just be a good musician. A blind person will also need to master the new techniques of music: synthesizer, sequencer, and computer.
