Job Description

Arnaud has been a journalist at a radio station since 1994. He publishes information, presents live radio programs, takes appointments and records interviews by himself. He also takes care of the editing. He did a study on sensorial disabilities and communication.

Getting the job

Blind at 14, he entered the radio world through internships and voluntary work. Back then he was the only blind person in his journalism qualification program. He also had special training on technical issues.

Adjustments

For access to information he uses a scanner or has someone read for him. He also listens to the radio, telephone and TV. For live programs, he writes some notes in Braille or speaks the text as he listens to it on a recording. He marks CDs and cassettes in Braille and uses an adapted stopwatch
