Job Description

Mustapha has been a literature teacher for 25 years. His beginnings were tough because nobody believed that he was able to make it. He compensates the inability to look by a strong ability to listen. He only asks for his secretary’s help at home, for corrections

Getting the job

One of the first blind people to be admitted as teacher, his first year at university was a disaster and so he decided to study chiropractor at the same time. He finally obtained his diploma as teacher

Adjustments

He takes notes about the class on a Braille tablet. He prints out all texts used in class in Braille. He has students listen to vocal documents (programs, magazines, press reports) but students think this doesn’t prepare them for the exam. He also uses a scanner and Versabraille.
