Results of the EBU 2018 Award on Employment Best Practices

13 countries entered the competition organised by EBU in order to share best practices in terms of employment of visually impaired people in Europe. We sincerely thank all the entrants, as it was the first time this competition was organised and the number of participants was more than satisfactory.

The jury was composed of 5 members: Philippe CHAZAL (France), Goran MACANOVIC (Montenegro), Bárbara MARTIN (Spain), Lena SODERBERG (Sweden) and Martin O'KANE (UK). They met in Paris on the 7 and 8 June both to analyse the different contributions and also to prepare the brochure describing the best practices which will be published at the end of the year in five languages. The criteria used to evaluate the entries were: originality, transferability and clarity.

Each jury member attributed a note out of 20, and the three winners were:

  • UK: 89 points
  • Germany: 86 points
  • Italy: 81 points

We offer them our sincere congratulations and we hope that there will be even more entries in next year's competition on a new topic!
