A welcome message from the new EBU Executive Director

It is my pleasure to join, as of 16/03, the European Blind Union as Executive Director. A few words of introduction about myself: My name is Lars Bosselmann, I am a German national and 40 years old. I am a political scientist by professional background and have been working in Brussels for most of my career. In various roles, I promoted the rights of persons with disabilities in the development policies of the European Union. In that context, I had the chance of working closely with our friends from the World Blind Union, so the blindness movement is quite familiar to me. I am myself fully blind.

For the next six weeks, Mokrane and I will work very closely together in a view to ensure a smooth handover of his vast knowledge of the EBU work, history and functioning. I am delighted to being now at the Central Office in Paris and look very much forward to working with you all over the course of the coming months and years!
