EBU, Golden Stars Award Winner
EBU is proud to have been chosen as one of the winners of the Golden Stars Award of the EU for the project "A Citizens' Europe for All, Disabled People on the Move" it successfully conducted in 2009. Read more on the project at www.inclusiveurope.eu.The Award Ceremony, which took place at Concert Noble in Brussels on 16 December 2009, provided a further platform to promote the Dublin Declaration developed under our winning project. The Declaration highlights fourteen rights that the more than ten million blind and partially sighted citizens of the EU want to fully enjoy.
"EBU was founded in 1984 and this distinction is a beautiful gift that comes unexpectedly but at the right moment to mark our Silver Jubilee and to reward twenty five years of hard work to put an end to discrimination and social exclusion", said Lord Colin Low, President of EBU, who led our delegation at the Award Ceremony, and is pictured on the left being interviewed after receiving the trophy.
