4th Transport Research Arena (TRA 2012)
Athens (Greece)
With surface transport playing such an important social and economic role in moving freight and people, the European Commission - through its Research & Innovation, Mobility & Transport and Information Society & Media DGs - is proud to contribute to innovation in sustainable mobility for Europe, by bringing together all the stakeholders of the transport system.
TRA 2012 will be the first European Sustainable Surface Transport research conference. This means that, for the first time, it will integrate all surface transport modes: road, rail and waterborne (sea and inland) and interlinks between them.
TRA 2012 hence will give all members of consortia from all surface transport sectors involved in FP7 Transport research projects to meet, address common challenges, present their findings and share knowledge.
TRA 2012 is not only providing a platform for the brightest researchers and policy makers to connect, it also encourages them to think about how to successfully introduce their ideas on the market, to the benefit of European citizens. Together we can turn ideas into jobs, green growth and social progress.
TRA 2012 will be the place where the European Transport research community will be presented for the first time with Horizon 2020, the future integrated funding system designed to support the research and innovation objectives of the Europe 2020 Strategy.
Registration is now open on conference website: www.traconference.eu/, where you also can find a detailed programme and more practical information.
