Coordinated by AQuAS, the Catalan Agency for Health Information, Assessment and Quality, PRO4VIP is an 18-month research project funded under the new EC programme Horizon 2020.
It aims to define/revise public procurement policies to develop new innovative solutions for the early diagnosis and clinical treatment of partial sight as well as the development of assistive technologies. This project will only focus on the collection and prioritising of the needs of both partially sighted (PS) persons in terms of assistive technology and of clinicians in terms of instruments for diagnosis.
As a full partner representing end users, EBU is responsible for collecting the needs of PS Europeans in terms of assistive technologies through its members and, possibly, a questionnaire in English to be circulated to all the EBU members.
