Switzerland - Take part in professional life

A labour market that is open, inclusive and accessible to persons with impaired vision is an urgent and fundamental issue. The professional integration of persons who are blind or visually impaired helps to ensure their participation in society while reinforcing their autonomy as well as their self-realisation. Like anyone else, these persons have the right to prove themselves in the labour market. The latest issue of the Swiss Federation of the Blind and Visually Impaired member magazine examines the crucial importance of integration in the everyday work world. It includes a profile of Jonas Pauchard (age 26), an article on the SBV course “How to succeed in your job search” and an interview with Martin Kaiser, who is in charge of the social policy area for the Swiss Employers Confederation. If you would like to get further information (available in German or French) about job coaching for blind and visually impaired persons in Switzerland please contact Mrs. Catherine Rausch.
