Update on the revised rules for audio-visual media services (AVMS)

In April, the EU interinstitutional negotiations (‘trilogue’) reached an agreement on the revised rules for audio-visual media services (AVSM). In July, the lead committee of the Parliament approved this agreement.

Germany – DBSV elections

On Saturday 30 June the General Assembly of the German Federation of the Blind and Partially Sighted (DBSV) elected a new board for the coming four years.

Portugal - ACAPO is a consortium shareholder of online game exploration

Placard.pt is the latest online gaming platform that combines social responsibility, given its shareholder structure, without losing sight of the playful dimension underlying this type of activity.

Russia - Accessibility and audiodescription during the World Cup in Russia 2018

To ensure the accessibility of World Cup football matches in 2018, the All Russia Association of the Blind (VOS) and Russian Blind Sports Federation (FSS) in cooperation with the Eastern European Department of the Center for Access to Football in Europe (CAFE) - did a great job of providing barrier-free environments in the cities hosting World Cup matches.
