EBU Members' Newsletter

From January 2018 EBU will produce two different types of newsletter, the first, of which this is the first edition, is the EBU members newsletter, it is a monthly production in English only. It is used to present short news items from our members and partners, and share best practices and updates on projects.

  EBU is delighted by the European Union's vote in favour of the procedure enabling ratification of the Marrakesh Treaty.  597 members of the European Parliament out of 627 voted in favour on January 18, while only 8 members voted against and 25 abstained.

In the framework of its REC18-21 strategic plan, EBU will implement a number of activities in 2018. Let us focus on two of them.

The portal "zaposliosi.me" (employpwd.me) was created in the second half of 2017, following the successful work of the Union of the Blind of Montenegro, funded by the Employment Agency of Montenegro.

In 2016 and 2017, the Polish Association of the blind, together with the Chance Foundation carried out the project VIP System+. It was very unique in comparison to other activities. Firstly, it was addressed to the visually impaired with all disability levels, which is unusual as most of the projects are for persons with severe and moderate disabilities.
