Information session on UNCRPD in Lithuania

In May 2018, in Vilnius, the Lithuanian Association of the Blind and Visually Handicapped (LASS) organized an information session on the UNCRPD. The session was based on the EBU publication "The UNCRPD – a new look at our human rights".

Portugal - ACAPO discusses implementation of the CRPD in Brussels

As a member of the National Mechanism for Monitoring the Implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (Me-CDPD), Tomé Coelho, President of ACAPO’s National Board, participated in the Work Forum on 29 May in Brussels on the implementation of the UN Convention.

The deadline of 7 July to send your country’s essays for the 2018 Onkyo World Braille Essay Contest is fast approaching. So far, unfortunately, we received very few texts, which is worrying!

UK - Give Us Back Our Pavements campaign

With 100 people going blind every day in the UK, and knowing that these numbers will increase over the next 20 years, we need everyone to work to improve the state of our pavements.

13 countries entered the competition organised by EBU in order to share best practices in terms of employment of visually impaired people in Europe.

Belgium - BrailleTech 2018: the number one event in visual aids!

The BrailleTech organized by the Ligue Braille will be held in Brussels from 18 to 20 October 2018. It brings together all Belgian distributors of adapted equipment for the blind and partially sighted.
