Welcome to the EBU Access Cast 09. As you will see March was a very busy month for many updates in the assistive tech industry, as well as in the European Union which are very important for visually impaired community. Jakob, Mario and Tanja this time prepared news, demos and the first guest interview for our podcast, so let's jump straight into the action and check what do we have in store for you this time.

"Brailleliga by your side for life."

On March 18 the Brailleliga launches its annual campaign "Week of the Brailleliga". This year's theme is: “The Brailleliga accompanies blind and visually impaired people for free throughout their lives.” The campaign focuses on four key moments in the life of a blind or visually impaired person where tailor-made guidance is crucial.

On 19 March, DBSV organised the 17^th edition of its annual film festival for audio description with over 500 attendees from politics, the film industry and the community of blind and partially sighted people in Europe.

The Union of the Blind of Montenegro organised an international conference " Marrakesh Treaty and its benefits for persons who are blind, visually impaired, or otherwise print disabled“", which was held in Podgorica, on Thursday 28th February.

For the second successive year, the CFPSAA (French member of EBU) celebrated audio description and film making.

As was initiated last year, a jury composed by blind people selected the best audio description from amongst seven movies.
