Breaking down accessibility barriers through localization

WBU are excited to invite you to their virtual side event on “Breaking down accessibility barriers through localization: Presenting and unpacking recommendations for states parties to accelerate implementation of accessibility”.
 
The side event will take place on June 14th at 09.45 – 11.00 EST on Zoom at the sidelines of the 16th session of the Conference of States Parties to the Convention on Rights of Persons with Disabilities (COSP16).
 
The event will discuss why localization is such a powerful tool for breaking down accessibility barriers in our cities and communities. We will present and discuss key recommendations for member states to accelerate implementation of accessibility together with localization efforts of the global agendas. This side event is co-organized with United Cities and Local Governments, UN-Habitat, International Disability Alliance, Global Disability Innovation Hub, General Assembly of Partners, and Cities for All Network.
