In Switzerland, the collection of signatures for the political initiative for greater inclusion of people with disabilities was launched on 27 April 2023. The people’s initiative demands from the Swiss government to ensure equality for the approximately 1.7 million people with disabilities. The Swiss National Association of and for the Blind (SNAB) supports the initiative and coordinates the collection of signatures within its member organizations. The initiative’s committee is aiming to collect 100'000 signatures in 18 months.
