For over ten years now the multimedia library of the Association Valentin Haüy had been working in tandem with local and regional libraries to enable them to offer collections and services to disabled users.
Through this network of over 500 libraries the Valentin Haüy library now offers services in over 70 French regions, including overseas.
This allows the library to reach out directly to over 20% of the 11 767 members, increasing the visibility of the Association amongst a population deprived of reading material, and who were unaware that services adapted to their needs existed.
