Vision Ireland was proud to host a series of Glide Demo Days this month in the Wayfinding Centre, inviting participants from across Ireland to experience the potential of a revolutionary new mobility aid for people who are blind or vision impaired.
Glide, developed by Glidance, is a hands-free, intelligent mobility device designed to support free and intuitive movement, offering a transformative alternative to traditional aids like white canes or guide dogs.
The feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with many sharing how the experience gave them renewed confidence and a sense of possibility for future travel. The hands-on demos also allowed Glidance developers to gather valuable input to improve the device further.
