Civil Society to European Leaders: Deliver a Budget That is Up to the Challenge!
On the 18th and 19th June, the European Council will meet to discuss the next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF), the EU budget for the period 2028-2034. Discussions will mostly consist of the size and resources.
Together with other thematic civil society coalitions, we are launching an open letter to ask the European Council to back a strong MFF covered by adequate new own resources, which are revenue streams to enhance the EU budget. Both elements are essential as a precondition to advance our own requests for the programme, and it is complementary with any other initiatives aimed at the national Ministries.
The letter is open to signature for all EU-based and/or EU-operating civil society organisations, non-profit organisations, philanthropic organisations/actors, federations of actors of the non-profit sector, federations of non-profit social services, and actors of the social economy.
