Italy - A radio marathon to celebrate the Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women

Last November 25th, on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the Italian Union of the Blind and Partially Sighted (UICI) turned on the microphones of its Slash Radio Web to host a radio marathon titled “Zitta a chi?” (“How dare you shut me up?”) and send a strong and clear message: no woman should remain silent, especially those living with a disability.

Lithuania Introduces New Funding and Accessibility Framework for Guide Dogs

At the end of November, President Gitanas Nausėda signed significant amendments to the Law on the Protection of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the Law on Targeted Compensation. These changes establish, for the first time in Lithuania, a clear system ensuring both financial support and full accessibility for people with visual impairments who rely on guide dogs.
