The National Congress of the Italian Union of the Blind and Partially Sighted was held – during month of October 2025 - in Palermo, Sicily region, the Island in the southern part of Italy, and was dedicated to the following important subject: “The future where the individual is at the centre”.
Crown Prince Haakon visited the associations activity and rehabilitation center on November 12, as part of the Norwegian Association of the Blind and Partially Sighted’s 125th anniversary.
On 13th November, four French organisations of people with visual impairment organised a full-day conference filled with interesting roundtables at the French National Library.
On 7 November 2025, a delegation of 18 people from SONS (Czech Blind United), the leading organisation supporting blind and partially sighted people in the Czech Republic, visited Paris for an in-depth exchange with our French national member (CFPSAA) and the EBU Office. The visit was designed to foster mutual learning and cooperation around accessibility, employment, education, and digital inclusion for the blind and visually impaired community.
Conceived as an awareness-raising tool, EBU launched its “In-Work Support” brochure last month.
ABC is now accepting nominations for the 2026 International Excellence Award for Accessible Publishing, celebrating outstanding achievements by a publisher and an initiative or project promoting accessibility in digital publishing.
